A New Day

My in laws left today and now I'm free to work a schedule that allows the gym and eating right again. I'm jazzed about being back in the gym. I got a late start today, but am ready for a good workout.

5k 1st Try

42:26 on the treadmill. I had to walk some. My long time ago goal was 30:00. We'll see how close I can get in the next month.

A New Day

I fell off the wagon of working out and eating right. I drank a bunch of soda and ate more ice cream then I care to remember.

December 1 starts my next 30 day challenge. Along with no soda I will be adding no sweets durning the week, except once. Sunday will be my cheat day and I will allow myself one thing during the week.

Today I'm at the gym and saw an add for a 5k New Years day. I'm thinking of signing up just to finish it. That means I'll be doing lots of cardio for the next month.

Holidays, Yuck!

Diet and Holidays must be opposites. It's supper hard to try and lose weight during the holiday season. We have relatives in town and we keep going out to eat. And we eat a lot. I'm going running tomorrow and try to run a 5k New Years day.

Monday Weight Graph

30 Day Challenge

I finished my first 30 day challenge. I gave up soda and tried not to eat candy at the gas stations. I bought some candy but no soda. It's already saving me money.

For my next 30 days I'm going to give up sweets except for Sundays and one thing during the week. I tried one a day a while ago, but failed so this will be difficult for me. But, it will do amazing things for my health and hopefully my weight.

Hit the Road

I did road work for the dirt time in years, and actually enjoyed it. My wife went with me for the first time ever and did well. We are talking about training together. It was fantastic.

I've always been in good shape as a Marine and private contractor. My wife, not so much. So maybe this will be good that I fell so badly and her and I can work up together and start enjoying running and hiking together.

Are only problem we had was dodging cars. We are going to find a more runner friendly area next time (which I hope will be tomorrow!)

Starting to love life more again.

This last week has been crazy. Spent a couple days in Atlanta on business and didn't get a chance to work out all week. My weight is still down o 301.4. At least it's going the right way.

My 30 day challenge of no soda is going well. Almost there and wanting soda less and less. My candy addiction is going okay. I got peeps last night when I stopped at Walgreens to get something for my wife. I'm not going to let one mistake destroy 3 weeks worth of work and I'm just going to go again.

This week I'm going to try and do lots of cardio to start getting in shape for some of the long events I want to try and complete. Like a marathon, 100 mile bike ride, and maybe a triathlon. I'll never win, I just want to finish. These events are on the bucket list. I better get to work!
